COLLABORATIVE PARTNERING ANd COACHING
Using collaborative partnering methodology leads to improved performance through shared knowledge, diverse perspectives and enhanced creativity. This promotes a supportive and engaging learning environment. Vince works with Principals, leadership teams, staff teams and whole staff groups. Collaborative coaching with Principals and key members of senior leadership teams supports them to build their capacity and confidence to carry out the challenges they face in their work and to efficiently manage change. Vince will take the time necessary to understand your current context and help identify your point of need. He will support you in co-constructing your improvement plans and their implementation, to the level of detail you require. Support can also be include building and developing teams, coaching new leaders; reviewing and reconfiguring leadership structures; making meetings economical and efficient; performance support (management) of individual staff.
This can be particularly helpful in managing the implementation of significant change, particularly after a school review.
COLLABORATIVE PROFESSIONAL LEARNING
Professional learning is vital in managing performance and in implementing any program of change. Effective professional learning inspires and motivates teachers, improves and changes their practice, builds school consistency and encourages excellence. Vince partners with Principals to provide professional learning to engage specific teams of teachers and at times the whole staff, to implement change, build confidence and to strengthen practice. He is happy to model practice and work with leaders to plan in detail programs of professional learning and how to deliver them.
SELF-HELP LAB
In development are a range of modules based on many of the themes related to leading school improvement. These will be available for purchase, and it is intended that schools will self-manage the implementation of these modules to whatever extent they choose. Each module will contain:
- a THEORY OF ACTION which will describe a strategy to define the work that is planned and will identify what successful implementation of the work would look like
- clearly identified AIMS that scope the module and its purpose
- a range of LEARNING ACTIVITIES with instructions on how to implement them; templates and tools to support the activities (available electronically)
- strategies and measures to MONITOR IMPLEMENTATION and success
- references and links to relevant RESEARCH and EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE;
- suggestions for possible NEXT STEPS.
